this policy explains how mellowfunding.com (“mellow,” “we,” “us”) handles information submitted through the site. questions and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
what we collect
information you provide. the initial inquiry form may collect:
- owner and business name
- email address and phone number
- state where the business operates
- time in business
- approximate monthly revenue
- approximate amount requested and intended use
- information entered in the optional message field
- page and referral information associated with the inquiry
please do not put bank account numbers, social security numbers, identification documents, or full bank statements in the initial form.
information collected automatically. the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed to provide aggregate, cookieless traffic measurement. hosting and security infrastructure may also process IP address, browser, device, request, and security-event information as part of normal delivery and abuse prevention.
how we use information
we use submitted information to:
- respond to the funding or information request;
- evaluate basic fit for commercial-finance or referral options;
- contact the submitter by phone, text, or email when consent has been provided;
- prevent spam, fraud, and abuse;
- understand which pages and sources generate useful inquiries; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
when information may be shared
financing and referral partners. if an inquiry appears suitable, mellow may share it with selected third-party commercial-finance providers, brokers, marketplaces, or referral partners for the purpose of responding to the requested funding need. those third parties have their own privacy practices and underwriting rules. the form asks for consent to this use.
mellow does not authorize a recipient to use inquiry information for unrelated consumer advertising. we do not publish lead information or place it on a public list.
service providers. hosting, security, storage, analytics, and email providers may process information on our behalf to operate the site.
legal and safety reasons. information may be preserved or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect rights and safety.
business changes. if the site or its assets are sold, transferred, or reorganized, information may transfer as part of that transaction subject to this policy and applicable law.
contact consent and opt-out
when the required form checkbox is selected, the submitter consents to contact from mellow and selected financing or referral partners about the submitted business-funding request by phone, text, or email. message and data rates may apply. consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
marketing texts, if any, can be stopped by replying STOP. email opt-outs and other contact requests can be sent to [email protected].
retention and security
we retain inquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, dispute prevention, security, and applicable legal requirements. no internet service can guarantee absolute security, so sensitive underwriting documents should be transmitted only through a secure channel provided by an identified third party after the initial inquiry.
access, correction, and deletion
requests to access, correct, or delete submitted information can be sent to [email protected] with “privacy request” in the subject line. we may need to verify identity and authority over the business before acting. some information may be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or dispute records.
state law may provide additional rights. requests will be handled under the law applicable to the requester.
children
this site is intended for business owners and authorized business representatives. it is not directed to children, and mellow does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
changes
this policy may be updated as the service, partners, or legal requirements change. the effective date above will be updated when changes are posted.
